Our application and hiring processes are as follows:

  1. Submit a cover letter and application. The cover letter should outline why you are applying for the position and any experience or qualifications that would help you in the position.
  2. Please include details of any relevant French language courses / certifications that you currently hold.
  3. Applications are to be submitted to the Municipal Office no later than 4:30pm, May 6th, 2024.
  4. Interviews will be held in May.  Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
  5. Depending on the position, MVIC Visitor information counsellors work 8-12 weeks with an end date of Labour Day weekend.  Each position will work 35-40 hours per week.  Please indicate on the form any time off that you will require this summer, i.e. family vacation, graduation, etc.
  6. All seasonal staff must attend a mandatory orientation and training day scheduled June 3rd, 2024.

Student Canada Summer Jobs - Aquatics & Programming Department

Work in the Sun this Summer with Canada Summer Jobs and the W.T. Booth Centennial Pool!

We currently have ONE Canada Summer Jobs student (high-school or post-secondary) position available! The successful student will be scheduled for 35 hours weekly, at a rate of $17.00/hr.

The successful student will be responsible for the following activities/duties, as needed:

- Lifeguarding

- Swimming Lesson Instruction

- Swim Supervisor & Lesson Supervisor Shifts

- Basketball Class Instruction/Help

- Tennis Class Instruction/Help

- Helping with Fundy Minor Football's Flag Football Programming

- Misc. Administrative Duties

- Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisors/Managment

- Students must have scheduling flexibility, as this position may require weekend, daytime, morning, or evening shifts.
